Painting in Acrylics
Learn to paint with acrylics. Included is instruction in the use of the unique medium of acrylics, simple drawing techniques, color mixing, and building a painting in layers. Come explore the possibilities of this straightforward and versatile paint. Begin a journey of creative discovery that can last a lifetime. Beginner’s Drawing Class
Can’t draw a straight line? Can only draw stick figures? This instructor can teach anyone to draw! Want a class you’ll enjoy? This is it! Learn the fun aspects of drawing from basic shading and design to catching a likeness (including portraits) to being able to draw what you imagine. This class will also hone your observation skills to such a degree that you’ll be able to see more of what’s there in the world to see! Cartooning and the Graphic Novel: Story-telling in Pictures
Tell your story (or someone else’s) in pictures! This course will teach you basic cartooning and elementary techniques of visual story-telling. Drawing can be a more immediate and captivating way to get your point across than writing.
You will receive instruction in simple drawing techniques, different styles of cartooning, character development and dramatization, good story-telling, all in a supportive atmosphere that is fun and full of insights. Creative Writing as Self-Discovery
Learn to write! Life is enriched through attentive engagement with it. Putting your life into words teaches you about yourself. This class is for beginners or those struggling hopelessly with writer’s block.
Learn simple techniques to get you started and keep you writing. Find your voice and tell a story that will have your listeners on the edge of their seats. Editing and gentle critique skills will also be taught for instant feedback and accelerated learning.
